Two more years of Lorenzo Savadori with Aprilia Racing

Two more years of Lorenzo Savadori with Aprilia Racing

The Italian rider will continue to work on creating the RS-GP for the 2025 and 2026 seasons on December 17, 2024.

As official tester for the 2025 and 2026 MotoGP seasons, Lorenzo Savadori reaffirms his dedication to Aprilia Racing. According to the rules, the Italian rider, who is a key component of Aprilia Racing's MotoGP project, will work on the crucial task of creating the RS-GP, which will involve the full official and private testing program in addition to a number of participations as a wild card in the MotoGP Championship.

After Lorenzo Savadori won the FIM Superstock 1000 championship in 2015 while riding his Aprilia RSV4 RF, Aprilia Racing and Savadori went on to win the World Superbike Championship. Savadori became a pivotal member of the team and helped the RS-GP expand when he joined Aprilia Racing as a test rider in MotoGP in 2020. Savadori and the Aprilia Racing Test Team frequently brought creative ideas to the track during the testing and wild cards, which now play a crucial part in the MotoGP Championship's growing competition and demands.

In addition to his work on the RS-GP for MotoGP, Savadori will keep developing all of the "track ready" goods from the manufacturer based in Noale so that all enthusiasts may access racing bike technology and performance.

By reaffirming the significance of this partnership with Lorenzo Savadori for the present and future of the MotoGP project, Aprilia Racing solidifies yet another key member of its squad for the upcoming two years.

LORENZO SAVADORI

“I am extremely happy to continue this adventure and to pursue my work along with Aprilia Racing for the next two seasons. In recent years, we have done an outstanding job, and I am certain that we will continue to improve more and more. Our growth has been consistent, step by step, with a rather clear goal that we always have in mind: contributing to taking the RS-GP to the top of MotoGP. I can’t wait to start the season!”

MASSIMO RIVOLA

“We are proud to confirm that Aprilia Racing will continue working with Lorenzo Savadori, one of the pillars of our project which, along with the Test Team, has allowed for the extraordinary development of recent years. Sava also represents continuity for us – a fundamental aspect of working with a highly trusted test rider, especially in such an important year where two new riders will be joining the Factory Team. He will also be a valuable resource at some Grands Prix, where we will continue to see him as a wild card with experimental solutions.”
